Don’t Blog for the Sake of Blogging

Seriously, if you have nothing to say, then don’t strain to get something up online that isn’t worth publishing. You won’t be happy with the quality, it may reflect badly on you, and there’s every chance your readers will notice.

Today’s one of those days at the CowShed where we are this week putting all of our energy into people, our processes, and our presentations. Having wrestled with the voluntary pressures we put upon ourselves for not having anything inspiring to say today we’re off to go get inspired again.

What’s more we’re busy working on something to present to the Thames Valley SBSC Group in early March. Since they’ve given us the entire evening, we are investing the time and effort to make it meaningful to the the audience.

The group is self-run by a group of IT Professionals in the Thames Valley region to exchange ideas, experiences, and learn from each other and those, like us, who present.

If you’d like to find out more about the group, check out here. Hopefully we’ll see you there. If not, maybe we’ll meet you at one of the following:

April: London IT Pro Group (contact us for the link if interested)

May: AMITPRO Group

Susanne Dansey is the Managing Director of Purple Cow Ideas Management – an organisation that facilitates a paradigm shift in the collaborative nature of the ICT Industry. You can follow her on Twitter and join the conversation on Facebook.
